The exhibition is all about the life of the magazine Satirix, created in 1971 by Lucien Grand-Jouan and banned in 1973 by the Pompidou government (with the publication of issue number 23, The naked truth by Pino Zac). It aims to prove, by the quality of the works presented, that press cartoon is indeed a major art, reflecting over generations the conflicts of political and social life in a modern society.
